The packet is 47 pages long. In this packet we've included a draft copy of the white paper regarding the SWAN Futures project, and a brief update post-review of the SWAN bylaws. We mostly have Discussion Items to cover this month so I am hopeful that the meeting will not run terribly long - therefore, no lunch is planned.

Hello all,
Today a few of us traveled out to our new office space to meet with the construction crew and John, our general contractor at Albrite Construction. As you can see by the photos below, they are really moving! We will still plan on a hopeful mid-October move. He will have a firm timeline for us by the middle of next week, after inspections.
SWAN staff, I have sent out a Save the Date for Friday, 10/7 to go tour our new space together and then have a group lunch afterwards, since the schedule looks clear and our walls, carpeting, and maybe even furniture will be set up by then. Details to follow for that event.
SWAN Board, I think there is a very real chance that next Friday's meeting might be your last board meeting in Burr Ridge EVER!

Hi SWAN Board Representatives:
(The SWAN Board list was having problems this morning, so forgive me if you received this duplicate email.)
Kristina Howard emailed on Thursday last week to regret that she will have to step down from the SWAN Board effective immediately. She is leaving Prairie State College.
I will consult with David about the next board meeting on how to proceed. There can be an appointment for both Anne and Kristina's vacated spots. The revised SWAN Bylaws allow for this rather than have a special election.

I have completed the updated SWAN reserves worksheet that will be part of the Quarterly packet. I caught one error in the budget as well, which I have corrected and included in one file attached. I will provide printed copies at the meeting tomorrow.
You should expect to see Carol Dawe, LINC Executive Director, and Dawne Tortorella, the new MAGIC LLSAP Manager, at your meeting tomorrow. They are interested in meeting the SWAN Board and learning more about how SWAN governance works. The LINC governing group approved the agreement, so Carol would be able to share any news from their meeting last Friday.

This packet is 151 pages long. The bulk of our meeting will focus upon the SWAN-LINC-MAGIC discussion, including the Intergovernmental Agreement (included in its 100 page entirety in the packet) and the Whitepaper for membership. We will also be reviewing our revised FY17 budget for the September 1st Quarterly meeting, and discussing the draft Quarterly agenda. Aaron will be sending you some follow up documentation via a separate email once that is work is completed this weekend but we wanted to get the packet to you ASAP.
Because this is likely to be a lengthy discussion, I will be ordering us lunch for the day from Corner Bakery. If you'd like anything special ordered, please email me by next Monday evening at the latest.
