SWAN Board,
I just received word that the Calumet City Public Library was suddenly closed today, apparently by its city management.
I don't think we need to do anything as an emergency step within SWAN, but I would like to see if we can find out what happened.
I emailed directors just a short time ago from these libraries.

I am just looking for information at this stage. I offered to host a meeting if people wanted to figure out a short-term strategy for that library service area.

I included a chart for the board committees and the representation we have within RAILS committees. I noted the names of current board representatives on the committees. Within the packet is a written charge for a new working group that is part of the RAILS Consortia Committee. Dawn Bussey and I can detail the discussion that took place on Monday at the committee meeting.
I have included the Sikich proposal in the packet and within my written report I recommend an approach for paying for the consulting work. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

The SWAN Board email list has been updated to include Tim and Charity, and I removed Julie and Stacy.
I am going to send out some SWAN Board meeting updates for your Outlook calendars. This will remove Stacy and Julie and add Tim and Charity from those calendar events. I will also update the meeting location and remove details for the virtual meeting, since we will begin meeting in person again.
