The packet is 26 pages long. This month we will be ratifying our FY18 budget vote and discussing Unlimited Renewals, Bylaws, and what to do with new libraries wishing to join SWAN (besides our New 19).
We hope to conclude the meeting by lunch time, so we do not anticipate providing lunch at the meeting. If anything changes I can always call in an order if needed.

Please note, these documents will all be available in paper format for you when you arrive in the morning so no need to print a copy. The meeting will begin promptly at 9:30 so please plan time to settle in and grab refreshments. Lunch will be served from Corner Bakery at noon.
Let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist with anything at all. I will take notes for those who are unable to attend the meeting and send them out shortly thereafter. I will arrive by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday so if you are planning to come in early, feel free to do so.

Good morning SWAN Board:
Just a reminder that our Board Retreat is coming up quick - next Tuesday, 3/14 we will meet at Quail Ridge from 9am to roughly 3pm. An agenda will follow as soon as it is available.
I plan to order the sandwich tray, salad, fruit & veggies & hummus spread from Corner Bakery for lunch as that always seems to work well. Please let me know if you have any special considerations. I will also grab some pastries and snacks for the morning as we get started, and coffee will be available throughout the day to keep us energized!

Hi All,
At our February board meeting, I asked the board to review the SWAN bylaws and come to the March 17th meeting with a list of what bylaws they think should be reviewed and perhaps revised.
We will review the list at the March board meeting and then decide who will conduct the review. I want to take our time with this to do a thorough job.
I am going to mention this at the March Quarterly meeting and will be asking the membership if YOU feel it is appropriate, to review the bylaws and make suggestions to me as well. If you feel this is inappropriate, please write me back (not all) and let me know, otherwise I will take email silence as a "GO!"

SWAN Board,
I wanted to provide you all a quick preview of the SWAN FY18 budget as I am finalizing the Quarterly agenda and budget presentation.
Rather than insert all of the RAILS grant and migration expenses within the FY18 budget already presented, I thought it would be better to separate it. I included notes on the budget to explain the migration portion. I think you will see some good news on the revenue side of things. Sharon recommended that the Impact Fee $95,000 revenue be included on that new line #4050.
