With the help of Grant Halter, they are looking to find the best metrics that speak to and represent those goals. For the confidentiality act issue with open holds shelves, the legislation that was filed last session (but did not pass) would not allow open holds shelves. The piece in the packet is the amendment ILA was able to get filed to fix the proposed legislation (Senate Bill 585) but this is not active. ILA's Best Practices Committee is doing a statewide survey on current practices with a goal of putting together best practices recommendations. ILS vendor support, as well as consortium staff support, will be needed as this situation progresses. Second, the RAILS LLSAP funding formula is going to undergo some revision for FY22. This is after two years of the current formula. I am not entirely sure yet why RAILS is looking to revise the formula, and I passed on my concerns to Julie that we need some reliable funding formula and that it should not change every two years.
