Board Packet for Next Week
by Brande Overbey 11 Dec '15

11 Dec '15

Hi guys, We just wanted to send a quick email to let you know that our board packet next week will likely be a little later than we typically get it out to you. We had an all-day meeting at Morris Public Library today (RAILS Consortia Retreat), and Monday/Tuesday will also be quite busy for Aaron and me with our SWAN holiday party and some Network Admin interviews. We will have the packet out to you no later than Wednesday AM, but hopefully much earlier. Take care and have a wonderful weekend! 2016 Board Events Calendar
by Brande Overbey 03 Dec '15

03 Dec '15

Hi SWAN Board, Attached is our proposed calendar of board events for 2016. For those of you unfamiliar with this document, this is what I'll be using to keep us on track with our agenda topics each month and with Aaron's and my administrative tasks (budget, audit, etc.). I've also converted the topics for COWs to SWANcoms, and noted the potential budget meeting that may need to be held in February. Anything else that I'm forgetting? Thank you! SWAN Board Personnel Committee 11/13/15 Agenda & Packet
by Brande Overbey 09 Nov '15

09 Nov '15

Hello SWAN Board/Personnel Committee: The Friday 11/13 Personnel Committee agenda and packet are now available for you: https://support.swanlibraries.net/sites/default/files/meeting/2015-11-13/pa… The packet is 78 pages long (74 of which are our Employee Handbook, which has a few redlined revisions up for review). This year's meeting will primarily be one of update and info rather than changes. We've made the handbook revisions to bring us in line with Management Association's legal recommendations, and I will present an employment law update and healthcare update for attendees. See some of you this Friday, and some of you next Friday! by Aaron Skog 16 Oct '15

16 Oct '15

SWAN Board, I will hand out printed copies of this proposal at the meeting this morning, but here is the first proposal I have received. Unfortunately I have not received the other two proposals yet. It was coming together quickly last week so I will need to encourage them to have something sent to me by early next week. by Brande Overbey 13 Oct '15

13 Oct '15

SWAN Board Members: The Friday 10/16 meeting packet is now available for you: https://support.swanlibraries.net/sites/default/files/meeting/2015-10-16/pa… The meeting packet is 37 pages long. This month is our exciting Strategic Plan-themed meeting! We have a Strategic Plan update document included, summarizing the progress made on our 3 year plan that is ending. We can also then begin to discuss our new plan. We also have a few policies for review. Please note that the Circ Policy included is provided as is from the Circ Mentor group edits; I will reformat it and bring it in line with our other policies once the content has been analyzed and finalized. The other 2 policies have now been reviewed by KTJ. See you on Friday!
