For some of you, the information within the packet will look familiar, as it was covered in previous meetings. What I have done is updated everything budget related to the most current information available, and created some new documents to help answer as many of the questions relayed to us.

Also, I have heard that Carol Dawe (LINC Executive Director), Dawne Tortorella (MAGIC Director), Dawn Bussey (Director of Glen Ellyn Public Library/LINC), and Sandra Hill (Director of the Villa Park Public Library/LINC Board President) will be in attendance at the scheduled meeting.

Hi All,
With David's resignation, we now have an open board seat that will expire in July 2017. The bylaws for appointing a new board member are as follows,
"SECTION 11. VACANCY AND REMOVAL OF BOARD MEMBERS. The Board shall declare a vacancy in the office of Board member when an elected or appointed Board member declines, fails, or is ineligible or unable to serve. Absence without cause from three regular board meetings within any one year period shall be a basis for declaring a vacancy. If a Board member vacates office the Board shall appoint a replacement to complete the term."
For our meeting on 11/18/16, I ask that you submit to me a name of an administrator you feel can fill the open seat. I would like their names no later than 11/11/18. Will we will then review the candidates at the meeting and appoint someone to fill the open seat.
Before you submit a name, please make sure that you speak with the person to ensure that they really want to be considered. We don't need seven names, but I hope to gather a few.

Hi Everyone,
I asked Aaron and Brande to schedule a special board meeting so that all of us would be on the same page for the COW meeting.
I also asked them to include Jamie in them poll as she is a member of the Swan Futures Task Force committee. I would also like her to join me at the table when we meet at the COW meeting with the loss of David.
Thank you for your prompt response to the poll and I would like to spend our time at the meeting reviewing the answers to the membership questions that were raised at the board meeting.

SWAN Board,
Stacy Wittmann will not be able to attend the meeting tomorrow at 1:30pm. This means that in order for the meeting to take place we need a quorum of the four board representatives.
I confirmed with Doug Losey he will attend. I wanted to alert the remaining board members in case you had noted that Doug he originally indicated in the meeting poll he would not be available.
In the event that one of you *cannot* attend, please reply-all to this email. Otherwise I will assume we are all set for the meeting in Burr Ridge.
Carol Dawe from LINC will be in attendance. Julie Milovac from Downers was interested in the meeting, so she might attend as an additional guest.
