SWAN Library Directors & Administrators: The SWAN Board has issued a memo regarding ILS recommendations for the design of the new SirsiDynix Symphony ILS that will be discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting next week, Tuesday July 8 9:30am at Oak Lawn Public Library. The memo is attached to this email. The Committee of the Whole Meeting agenda and packet is posted online which includes the whitepaper "SWAN Recommendations on Symphony ILS Profiling: Recommendations for July 2014 Adoption" referenced in the Board memo. https://support.swanlibraries.net/sites/default/files/meeting/2014-07-08/pac... The whitepaper provides information on five critical software decisions facing the Board. The SWAN Board is committed to a careful examination of the options presented in the whitepaper. The Committee of the Whole meeting is an opportunity for all voices to be heard. The SWAN Board will take formal action on the whitepaper recommendations following the Committee of the Whole meeting at its scheduled July 18 meeting. Your input will provide important information to be taken into consideration when they vote on the recommendations its July 18 meeting. Please note, the meeting will be held in the lower level of the Library and that, if possible, park in the lot north of Village Hall just west of the Library.
