Just a reminder of the meeting on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Oak Brook Public Library. See the link below for details.

In addition to the presentation of the items on the agenda, under the announcements portion of the meeting, will be a presentation by Forest Park Public Library Director Vicki Rakowski from the Cook County Library Coalition about the tax distribution issues experienced by 95 public libraries, how it impacted specific libraries, and how you can advocate to fix the issues with the County Treasurer’s Office.

The meeting will include a presentation of the recently completed membership events led by the SWAN Board Strategic Planning Committee. The packet includes an overview of the events and the themes that emerged from the discussions with member library staff and directors.

We also have planned an overview of the second quarter SWAN projects, and an update on the information security audit and what steps SWAN has taken to address those findings.
