Currently, we display the due dates for items that are checked out. Some library staff feel like this creates a difficult conversation with patrons and discourages them from placing holds -- "Oh, this is due at the end of the week, I'll just come back then." They would like to just display "Checked Out" and no due date.
On the other hand, some library staff like the transparency of showing due dates, and they worry patrons will be upset if we take away something they're used to seeing.
