Everyone –

 

It’s a new day!    As of  this morning, we are able to effectively block NON-SWAN RB patrons ( this includes Chicago Public) from placing holds in Enterprise, while allowing staff to place holds in Workflows for them.   This means that staff can allow the software to control what is holdable to these patrons in Workflows.   There is no longer a prompt for an override.   In addition, gone are the additional restrictions that only copy holds can be placed on only your items for NON-SWAN patrons.   You can place System level title holds without using an override, except in rare instances (Non-Circ items, etc). 

 

Non-SWAN RB and Chicago patrons can in the My Account area of Enterprise:  Change their PIN, Set preferences, Setup text messaging, View checkouts,  Renew items if eligible for renewal,  Cancel holds, Change Pickup point (only to those libraries that have opted in to “Pickup Anywhere”), Suspend holds, Un-suspend holds, and View fines.   The only thing they can’t do is place a hold.
