The SWAN Board seeks approval of SWAN Bylaws at the June 1, 2016 SWAN Quarterly meeting. The changes proposed are detailed in a redlined Word version of the document, available for download here:
Article 3 Section 4: proposed ammendment would set one year instead of three years before any board member can run for a term again.
Article 3 Section 11: proposed ammendment would allow the SWAN Board to appoint a replacement representative in any board vacancy, rather than a special election be held for one year or more left on a term.
Article 4 Section 2: proposed language removes officers only serving three consecutive years, since representatives are limited by term limits to two terms, which is six years total.
Article 5 Section 1: Budget - proposed language clarifies that budget approval be completed by a vote of two-thirds of all the Members present, and eliminates the need for a Member quorum.
This SWAN support site posting is the start of the required 45 days notice for amending SWAN Bylaws as specified therein.
