Hello Member libraries –

We are writing to inform you all that unfortunately we did not get the number of libraries necessary to make the SWAN all-inclusive package work. Instead, we’re moving forward with the RAILS EBSCO Flagship package or individual databases if your library prefers.

The RAILS EBSCO Flagship Package includes ConsumerReports.org, NoveList Plus / NoveList K-8 Plus, and your choice of 6 additional databases. Pricing for the Flagship package is based on your library service population and can be found on the RAILS Deals & Discounts page (must be signed in to view): https://railslibraries.org/deals/112669

Individual databases are priced on that same page under your library service population group. If you plan to purchase individual databases, please fill out our 2024 EBSCO Deal Opt In form. EBSCO is referring all library calls about individual database purchases to them back to SWAN.

We are collecting selections for the Flagship and individual databases up until Thursday, June 20 end of day. If you have already made your choices, no need to resubmit the form. You can review your submissions here: https://support.swanlibraries.net/form/80756/submissions.

Remember, the Flagship package and individual databases are extra databases that your library is paying for and are meant to complement the statewide database deal. Everyone in Illinois is getting the resources in the statewide deal at no additional charge.
