SirsiDynix has resolved the issue and corrected 4,495 records that were in an error state. SWAN Bib Services staff have not encountered any further records in question, but we'll keep a watch throughout the day and report if any further significant issues occur via the Known Issue.

Subject: [SWANcom] Error with Overnight Processing on 7/24 - Record Errors Possible

 

SWAN Member Library Staff,

 

One of our critical overnight maintenance reports responsible for committing cataloged record changes to the database has terminated abnormally. We’ve submitted an urgent case with SirsiDynix support to investigate the issue further and determine what impact this may have on our daily processes.

 

Please proceed to login and use WorkFlows normally, however cataloging functions and access to certain impacted records may result in “Heading not found” or “Keys need to be indexed” errors. Additionally, you may have trouble searching for certain records through WorkFlows.

 

We'll update the Known Issue on our support site as soon as more information becomes available.
