We’ve received several inquiries regarding expiring Public Web Browser (PWB) licenses at our libraries. We’re happy to report that RAILS has renewed the ongoing subscription to PWB and continue to share their subscription with the SWAN membership. For those unfamiliar with PWB, this easy-to-use software can be installed as the primary web browser on OPAC workstations to display the library’s Enterprise catalog in kiosk mode. One of the greatest benefits of this software is an inactivity timeout that ensures patron logins and browsing cookies are cleared from the workstation after a specified period of inactivity.

The 2019 license/registration code can be obtained from the RAILS website via the "Public Web Browser 2019 Registration Information" PDF (L2 login is required for access).
