The Franklin Park Public Library District will go live on SWAN Tuesday, May 10. SirsiDynix has begun importing the library's bibliographic data into SWAN as of Saturday, May 7, so you will begin to see these records appearing in Symphony and Enterprise. It is possible during the next few days bibliographic records from Franklin Park could appear in the current catalog as a duplicate record that requires merging. These will be merged as part of the migration and post-migration process, so it is not necessary to submit tickets to SWAN support.
Also be aware that materials being routed to Franklin Park (FPD) should use a RAILS sticky delivery label, not an ILDS label.
Finally, if your patrons would like to learn more about SWAN, please direct them to our newly updated public website at www.swanlibraries.net. We have information and video tutorials on library account and catalog best practices, as well as some background on our organization. Be sure to check it out!
As always, if you have questions or concerns, email help@swanlibraries.net for assistance.
