*Important* RAILS/SWAN Planned Network Outage on Wednesday, March 29th between 7:30am-8:30am

03/28/2017 - 12:15 - by Steven Schlewitt

SWAN Member Library Staff:

RAILS will be working with ICN to perform a network cutover of the RAILS/SWAN Datacenter tomorrow between 7:30am and 8:30am. While an hour is being set aside, RAILS has informed us that the actual migration between the networks should only take between 5-15 minutes, as everything has been preconfigured and tested.

The following SWAN services will be impacted during the outage:

-      Symphony Server

  • All WorkFlows access (cataloging, circulation, etc)
  • SIP2 3rd Party Vendor Integration (databases, electronic media)
  • SIP2 Hardware/Software Integration (AMH, self-check, PC reservation, print release)

-      Enterprise

  • My Account Features
  • Commerce
  • Item Availability

-      SWAN Support Site

-      SWAN Ticket Site (OTRS)

-      SWAN MailMan Service (SWANcom)

-      Bookmyne

-      MobileCirc

Again, this outage is planned from 7:30am and 8:30am, but if all goes to plan, it should last no longer than 15 minutes. In the event that the outage should extend beyond the anticipated timeframe considerably, we'll issue a notice via MailChimp to notify the membership. Additionally, if you have any questions about the downtime or encounter any issues afterward, the SWAN Support Team will be accessible via help@swanlibraries.net, or the toll-free number 844-SWANLIB.

Thank you.
