SWAN Member Libraries & Technology Staff:
You may recall several weeks ago that a new SWAN email domain was implemented to handle all patron notices and aliased email traffic. By now, all libraries should have updated their contacts and spam filters to reflect the change, and you’ve likely noticed that all of your patron notices and bounces are sending/arriving from the new @notices.swanlibraries.net domain. Additional information detailing this change can be found in the following memo…
This message is a reminder that the SLS/MLS email server will be taken offline in just 14 days (December 31st)! In the unlikely event that you are still receiving valid emails, sent ONLY to your previous XXS@mls.lib.il.us or XXS@sls.lib.il.us addresses, please be sure to notify the sender that these addresses will no longer be valid at the end of the year and continued use of these addresses will result in bounce-back notifications. All of these emails should now be sent through XXS@notices.swanlibraries.net.
Thank you again for your cooperation, and should you have any questions or comments about the email migration, please submit a ticket to the SWANTech Queue of the SWAN ticket system or contact me directly at the number listed below.
