Hi Everybody,

The July 23rd Board meeting will be held at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library. In case you have not been to our library, here are a few things to know:

Please use our parking lot, which is located at the corner of Chestnut and Lawn, behind the Grand Avenue Community Center. There will be available spots on Chestnut in front of the library but we like to save those spots for our older patrons and families with kids. It would be great if you could all park in the lot. It’s a short walk.

Our building opens at 9:30 AM but there will be a staff member watching the door to let you in as early as 9:00 AM.

We’ll be meeting in the Community Room to the right of our circulation area on the first floor. There will be coffee and water in the room and other drinks are available in the lounge.

We are not a mask-mandatory facility but please wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated.

See you Friday!

Hello SWAN Board reps—

The meeting agenda and packet for Friday is now posted. This meeting will be held at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library in person. Ted is going to follow up with some information on visiting.

Meeting information can be found using the link below:

I included a chart for the board committees and the representation we have within RAILS committees. I noted the names of current board representatives on the committees. Within the packet is a written charge for a new working group that is part of the RAILS Consortia Committee. Dawn Bussey and I can detail the discussion that took place on Monday at the committee meeting.

I have included the Sikich proposal in the packet and within my written report I recommend an approach for paying for the consulting work. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

It will be great to see everyone in person!
