I recommend reading over this article by Marshall Breeding as well:

http://www.alatechsource.org/blog/2015/01/icv-partners-acquires-sirsidynix.html

“Executives in the company have also contributed to the equity of the transaction, which ensures continuity in the management of the company and indicates that the new owners are not likely to replace the incumbent management team.”

What I quoted there is important, as it signals most likely SirsiDynix will keep the current CEO Bill Davison. The SD press release notes the following:

“Davison said that the SirsiDynix management team will remain intact and that they look forward to working with ICV Partners as they embark on the next phase of company growth.”

So I don’t see this affecting SWAN’s direction with SirsiDynix or our migration timetable.

Subject: [SWANboard] ICV Partners Acquires SirsiDynix

SWAN Board,

The ownership of SirsiDynix has changed. Prior to today, SirsiDynix was owned by Vista Equity Partners.

I have no opinion on this yet, other than with new ownership, it is possible that the CEO could change. This happened with Innovative, and even more extensively where all of the III “C level” positions (CEO, CIO, CTO, etc.) changed as well. But that was more due to Jerry Kline exiting as an owner and president of the board.

If you have questions, please give me a call.
